I. The Idea
Our project explores the river as a living compass that guides us through the landscape and towards the stories, memories, and encounters embedded within it. Rather than treating history as something fixed and complete, we approach it as an ongoing process shaped by personal recollections, local voices, and the continuous flow of time. Like an unfinished harbour, the river is a place of transition, connection, and becoming-a space where past, present, and future coexist. Through collecting, sharing, and artistically transforming these stories, we aim not to reconstruct a definitive history, but to create a living map of the place that remains open, evolving, and continually reimagined by those who inhabit and pass through it.
II. About Our Collaboration
Our History and Approach We met in Prague and immediately connected over a shared life experience: since childhood, both of us have lived like water flowing across the world, making our homes wherever we drift. We naturally adapt to new environments and seamlessly blend into them—just as water does.
Methodology and Why Together Though we carry different professional titles, we share a site-responsive approach that combines performative practice with anthropological research, allowing our creative process to remain organic and flow like water. By deeply intertwining anthropological observation with physical intuition, we create truly hybrid narratives.
